About This Place

If you’re on the hunt for a slice of Caribbean culinary magic in Manchester, look no further than Lisa’s Caribbean Kitchen. Nestled in the vibrant Cheetham Hill area at 15a Bury New Rd, this restaurant transcends the ordinary, inviting you to embark on a flavorful journey through the sun-kissed islands of the Caribbean.

At Lisa’s, the air is filled with the enticing aromas of cherished Caribbean recipes, bringing a comforting, nostalgic vibe that warms the heart. Their menu is a true treasure trove of traditional dishes, featuring standout items like the Red Peas Soup and Chicken Soup, perfect for warming chilly days. For those seeking a bit more variety, the Chicken Split shines as a favorite, celebrated for its rich flavors and vibrant spices.

One enthusiastic customer, Yvie, highlighted the Cornflake Pie, a nostalgic indulgence that evokes sweet memories from school days. With its perfect sweetness, it exemplifies the delightful treats that Lisa's is known for. Complementing this are the beef patties, which deliver an authentic taste that fans of Caribbean cuisine will undoubtedly appreciate. However, it seems there may have been a slight letdown in portion size when it comes to their dumplings, yet the flavor is what matters most, and Yvie found the chicken split to be delectable.

Touching on vegetarian options, Lisa’s offers enticing meals like Rice & Gravy and Callaloo, ensuring that everyone can experience the rich tapestry of flavors that define Caribbean cuisine. Their dish variety extends to mouthwatering extras such as Fried Dumplings, Mac & Cheese, and delightful desserts like Apple Crumble and Banana Cake, rounding out the experience.

In conclusion, Lisa’s Caribbean Kitchen isn't just a place to eat; it's an invitation to celebrate culture, community, and delicious food. Whether you’re diving into a comforting bowl of soup or savoring a sweet slice of pie, the restaurant promises an unforgettable taste of the Caribbean, right in the heart of Manchester. I ordered Cornflake Pie, Chicken split and a beef patty. The dumpling for the chicken split was very small and didn’t look anything like the sizes shown on the pics on the website. The chicken split was very tasty so I give them that. The cornflake pie was very sweet, but it’s how it should be and just how I remember from school. The beef patty was again just how I remember from years ago.
